Caring for those in our community who are less fortunate is important to us at Gracepointe Church. That’s why we have flourishing mercy ministries, lending a helping hand to our neighbors in need.
The Gracepointe Food Pantry is open the second Saturday of every month from 8:00 to 10:00 AM at the east entrance of the church. The food pantry provides a variety of food, including meat, fruits, vegetables, baked goods, household cleaning supplies, personal care products and more. English- and Spanish-speaking volunteers are on site to assist and care for those who come. Aid is available to Mundelein residents who can provide proof of residence. For information on how to help, how to donate or how to receive help from the food pantry, contact the church office.
The Gracepointe Clothing Closet shares the love of Christ by providing free, gently-used clothing and household items to those in need, through generous donations from church members, family and friends . As a sister ministry to the Gracepointe Food Pantry, the Clothing Closet serves 30+ families in the Mundelein and surrounding area each month. All are welcome to participate. If you wish for assistance, please come the second Saturday of the month from 8:00 to 10:00 AM or contact the church office for an appointment. If you wish to donate, please contact the church office for hours – tax receipts are available upon request.
Laundry Love helps wash the clothes and bedding for those experiencing financial hardship. By partnering with a local laundromat, our volunteers serve those in need by providing quarters and detergent as they come alongside local families and seek to nurture each person through compassion, intentional conversation and friendship.
Laundry Love meets the third Thursday of each month from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at El Gran Laundromat, 3111 N Seymour Ave, in Mundelein. For more information or to volunteer, contact the church office. To help financially support this ministry, click the link to the right.
